AMD appoints Abhi Y. Talwalkar to board

AMD,a semiconductor company, announced the appointment of Abhi Y. Talwalkar to itsboard of directors.

Witha 32-year career in technology, Mr. Talwalkar brings a deep knowledge of thesemiconductor industry.

Mr.Talwalkar was president and chief executive officer of LSI Corporation from May2005 until the completion of LSI's merger with Avago Technologies in May 2014.

Priorto LSI Corporation, Mr. Talwalkar held a number of senior management roles atIntel Corporation over the course of 12 years, including corporate vicepresident and co-general manager of the Digital Enterprise Group and vicepresident and general manager of the Intel Enterprise Platform Group.
